The business is an amalgamation of two smaller companies, Southern Cross Limited and Martin Paul Technical Recruitment. The directors of both of these businesses have over 24 years combined experience. Having previously worked together for a large corporate business they decided to merge their small respective companies into one business as both have the same goals, ideals and ethics.

Both Directors have excellent reputations delivering for the clients they have worked with over many years and place a high importance on repeat business.


Simon has 13 years experience recruiting specifically within the Construction industry, 2 years in UAE, 6 years in London for a national construction recruitment specialist where he developed and managed the freelance business, 2 years setting up a freelance business for an small independent Construction recruiter in Sydney, clients based mainly around refurbishment and fit out clients, and a further 3 years running Southern Cross.

Martin has 11 years experience recruiting specifically within the Construction industry, all of them based from Bristol initially working for 2 internationally renowned construction recruitment business’ comprising a mixture of permanent and freelance recruitment with regional contractors throughout the South West, Devon & Cornwall and Wales regions. Martin has also set up, developed and managed a nationwide retail construction business before establishing Martin Paul Technical Recruitment.
