Job Purpose

Skanska UK PLC are looking for a Document Controller to join our Civil Engineering division, to support out London-based tender team.

Candidates must have solid experience working on a range of document control systems, and have strong experience on civil engineering and/or tunnelling projects.

Principle Duties & Accountabilities

Control and distribute documentation & data in accordance with the requirements of company and site procedures.

Establish a system to record all controlled docs in accordance with the requirements of the Project Manager and company and site policy and procedures.

Ensure all technical data & revisions are distributed in a controlled / uncontrolled manner as dictated by project requirements and company procedures.

Maintain originals of documents in fire-resistant storage.

Assist in archiving and recording original documentation at project completion.

Maintain up to date list of controlled documents.

Adherence to Skanska policies and procedures

Input and management of electronic document management system

Ad hoc duties as job requires

Key Working Relationships

Responsible for Assistant Document Controller where appropriate

Liaison with:

Internal - Skanska staff & Project team - Document Control user groups IT / Scan docs developers and Head Office Department

External - Sub Contractors and clients, designers, JV Partners

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required

GCSE (or equivalent) level minimum.

Competent in IT skills – MS Office suite.

Experience of Document Control procedures and systems.
