Eden Brown are currently recruiting for a Lead Surveyor for our client a Rail Consultancy based in York. This is a contract position likey to last an initial 6 months with the possibility of an extension.
Purpose of the Job·
Produce and deliver engineering surveys of all kinds to a consistently high standard for railway and infrastructure projects·
To assist with the production of programme and estimates under direction of the Section Leader Survey·
To lead and direct the survey team on site·
To undertake COSS duties on site.
Principal Accountability·
Achieve the technical objectives set for delivery of projects to current engineering and safety standards, within agreed timescales and budgets.·
Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff, and others, affected by the operations of CRIS·
Carry out surveys on site in an efficient, technically robust and safe manner, directing the work of others as required·
Lead teams formed to deliver projects, ensuring commitments made are delivered to programme.·
Possess assessed competence in surveying, downloading, editing and ground control.·
Topographical surveying, control surveying, gauging and plain line surveying. Data processing as defined by survey competence matrix.
Minimum HNC or equivalent
Good experience of supervising and undertaking topographical surveys and other railway survey methods.

Proficient at computer aided design.
