Site Manager – New build flats. Permanent position for a Site Manager to supervise a  new build scheme with 12 flats and commercial  units below, on a scheme in Catford, for a successful and expanding developer. There are further schemes in the pipeline from 10 to 60 plus units, all new build.


The Position. A confident and enthusiastic personality with good construction knowledge seeking to advance your career, you may currently be a No 2 on a larger project and seeking a greater degree of responsibility. Ideally with an apprenticeship background or similar training, you must have a good grasp of construction procedures and be able to read and drawings.


Preferably with a strong Technical/Trades or Engineering background and able to read and understand Engineers and Construction drawings; able to plan, programme and co-ordinate the various trades and sub-contractors, whilst planning ahead to organise, schedule and call off materials in time. IT conversant with the ability to programme and provide proper reports on a regular basis. CSCS card, current First Aid certificate and 5 day CITB Site Manager’s certificate are essential; with a practical approach / knowledge and a good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation is expected.


Your background will clearly demonstrate consistent periods of regular employment. Clear oral and written communication will be needed, as will an understanding of IT and the ability to clearly report on site progress.  You will probably need at least 4-6 years experience in Site Management to be able to successfully run this project.


Location is important as the Contractor generally works in an area that is within a 20-30 mile radius of Bromley on projects varying from 6-7 unit sites to large schemes of 60-70 mixed houses, flats and commercial units. You must live south of the Thames and within 45 minutes drive of Bromley. A car and driving license are essential.


Salary package to £40,000 with a potential 10% successful project completion bonus, travel costs refunded and pension and medical cover after a qualifying period. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered for the role.
