We are looking for a results-oriented technician to support undergraduate laboratory and workshop teaching and MSc dissertation projects in the civil engineering subject area. You’ll work with academics, researchers and project students in the design, development and construction of project components and equipment involved in teaching and research.
You must have a civil engineering or related qualification and ideally be a technician member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, with proven practical workshop skills and an all-round knowledge of soils and construction materials. You will need to be methodical in approach and have good communication, organisational and numerical skills together with an ability to handle multiple priorities. Manual dexterity is important for this post as a degree of physical work is involved.
