
My client, a large national charity that specialise in providing local support services for people with learning disabilities throughout the U.K, are currently seeking a well experienced Director of Estates and Facilities for a permanent position based in the South West.
The right candidate will report directly to the CEO and will have overall responsibility for all of my client's estates, facilities and environmental strategies. You will be a vital member of the executive team devising a wide property acquisition, management and disposals strategy that supports growth and maximises long term value. You will also provide expert corporate and strategic advice to the clients council of trustees and executive committee on all matters relating to the estates portfolio.
The right candidate will have proven background in developing and implementing estates strategy within a multi-site environment, extensive experience of professional property management in particular working with RSLs and private landlords, experience of tendering for and managing construction projects, experience of managing both outsourced and direct workforce maintenance function, experience of estate disposal and value maximisation, extensive experience of leading and managing diverse professional teams and strong experience in all aspects of facilities management. You will also need to hold a degree level or equivalent qualification and be an active member of RICS, CIBSI or BIFM. It would also be beneficial if you hold a professional qualification in health and safety.
