Job Description
- Define project goals, requirements, as well as roles of various stakeholders to ensure compliance with BIM management plan
- Set the schedule for baseline model development (3D model, 4D schedule, 5D bill of quantity)
- Execute and monitor implementation of Virtual Design and Construction according to planned strategy and schedule
- Act as a main point of contact to the clients, consultants and operations team utilizing Virtual Design and Construction
- Carry out meetings with the various stakeholders for progress visibility, project documentation, project accountability, as well as resolution of all BIM related issues and challenges faced.
- Provide clash detection reports by the identification and resolution of all hard and soft collision
- Determine collaboration method amongst various stakeholders as well as the mechanism to accommodate design change (3D, 4D, 5D integration)
- Refine and manage BIM application capabilities, technology, and training programs, as well as provide training and support to operations staff to leverage Sunway's Virtual Design and Construction capabilities
- Continuously update best practice processes for the use of supporting new Virtual Construction technologies as part of the delivery of construction services
Desired Skills & Experience
- Degree in Architectural, Engineering, and/or Construction related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years working in commercial construction or related field, coupled with 5 years experience in Virtual Design and Construction
- Basic knowledge in operating AutoCAD and Autodesk Design Review
- Knowledge in these preferred software (ie, Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Revit MEP, Tekla Structures, Synchro, Navisworks, RIB iTWO, EDM Model Server) is a pre-requisite
- Those with experience in any other BIM software applications (ie, Bentley Microstation, Vico Office and Control, Innovaya, Solibri Model Checker) has added advantages
