My client is looking for a Resident Engineer to carry out the supervision of a contract to install replacement sluice gates and operating equipment on a dam in the Sudan. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Resident Engineer will be expected to take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the contract, including addressing technical and contractual matters relating to the delivery of the works on site, with support provided from the UK.
Experience of working with FIDIC contracts is essential. You should also have experience of successfully acting as the Resident Engineer on similar overseas projects.
Provided by client: Visa, Accommodation, In-Country travel and 3 return flights will be provided during the 13-month contract.
Planned start date: June 2012
Duration: 13 months
