Commercial Manager

This role is to manage the various commercial processes within the Business, and to ensure the contractual commercial obligations are met (e.g. payment process).

The Commercial Manager shall also review contractual terms and conditions with customers to ensure back to back arrangements are in place with the supply chain. The role will also effectively identify variations to client contracts and pursues reimbursement for properly incurred costs via the appropriate relationship route. Payment and order process management and verification and approval of contractor application for payments in conjunction with the Quantity Surveyors. Reviewing and challenging costs and management of the contractor application process. Interface with contractors and take a lead in improving contractor performance and effectively managing KPIs.

Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. A commercially astute individual with the ability to challenge the status quo.

Main Duties:
-To manage the commercial validation, assessment and challenge of cost and price data to ensure the financial viability and accuracy of information
-To review and improve cost data
Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Previous commercial management experience with a contractor
- Ideally experience of gas connection works and or multi-utilities
- Able to work under pressure and produce accurate reports
- Financial accounting skills desirable but an understanding of finance processes is essential

Basic Salary of between £45,000 and £55,000 (dependant on experience) plus company car and benefits package.
