Highways Engineer - join a team who have just recruited 2 Highway Engineers and now need a third to complete the team.
Our client has just won a prestigious contract award to build a major energy from waste (EfW) facility in Cardiff for a leading waste management & recycling company and you will be involved with various infrastructure projects being responsible for project delivery to be on time and to required quality. Experience of highways design to current standards to include industrial site layouts and pavement design for a variety of ground conditions. Proficient in the use of MX and AutoTrack software and drainage design including use of MicroDrainage for networks (surface & foul water) and design of sustainable drainage solutions whilst working to H&S requirements and CDM regulations with an awareness of contract conditions.
To be successful you will have a civil engineering degree or equivalent, chartered (or working towards) with a can do proactive solutions orientated approach capable of working in a busy office that can provide innovative and cost effective engineering solutions to client's requirements. IT proficient with MS Office packages, CAD and Lotus notes desired.
This is a client facing role at times acting as their Lead Engineer where you will need to develop good internal and external client relationships whilst effectively managing subcontractors and developing sub-contractor relationships.
