Our client, a leading provider of Energy from Waste solutions in the Midlands, is looking to appoint a Electrical Fitter / Technician to work on their Incineration plant in Wolverhampton. This is a permanent position, working on an day shift pattern.

Reporting to our clients Maintenance Manager you will responsible for carrying out Planned Maintenance in line with the Maintenance Schedule on the plant which uses an incinerator to process the Councils waste with a state-of-the-art waste-to-energy (w2e) plant. This process turns household waste into electricity via incineration and steam raising plant, whilst keeping pollution levels well below the regulatory limits. You will ensure safe working practises are adhered to at all times & deputise for the Team Leader in their absence.

The role will cover a full range of maintenance duties on a wide range of electrical orientated Plant and Equipment utilized throughout the facility. This will include fault finding, testing and modification to the process Equipment and Machinery onsite, ensuring reliable & economic power generation across the whole facility. You will be tasked with maintaining full records of all Planned Maintenance Schedules and defect rectification work completed, and ensuring stock levels are maintained accordingly. As on any EFW facility H&S is critical and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of this in the workplace, ensuring a good standard of 'house keeping' and maintaining the plant as very much a hazard free environmental.

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced Electrical Fitter / Technicians, with proven competence working with industrial utility plant. Good people skills with the ability to work as a team are essential as are basic IT literacy. Prior experience and knowledge of incineration / combustion / thermodynamic / steam generation would be considered desirable as would a good basic understanding of mechanics.
