My client, a FTSE100 company are looking for a Usability Interaction Developer to fill the following requirement: -
Job Description
The role of the Usability Interaction Developer is to produce JavaScript and JQuery interactions for all web page developments. In line with industry best practice, usability guidelines and W3C design standards.
The post holders will work closely with the usability designer, Projects Analyst, SME's, off shore developers and 3rd party design agencies.
Responsibilities
"Producing best practice code guidelines for web developments
"Reviewing & checking web development coding practices from offshore partners & Marketing
"Educating offshore development teams about coding best practice
"Ensuring agreed web accessibility standards are met for all web developments
"Build and maintain digital content (website, e-mail, demos, tools) in support of our Digital Delivery strategy. Work within web developments standards (i.e. accessibility WW3) and usability guidelines. Develop and maintain web guidelines where appropriate
"Maintain usability & brand standards consistently across all web developments
"Maintain consistency of the navigation and file structure across all the Skandia sites
"Jscript & Jquery interaction development
"Representing Usability at external & internal where required to provide guidance & technical feasibility on projects
"Work with developers to resolve & implement solutions to interaction defects/problems
"Testing web development to ensure consistent & proper behaviour in line with requirements
Skills
"Strong skills on JScript & JQuery
"Strong knowledge of HTML, XHTML, HTML5 and CSS
"Good understanding of web file architecture, server side includes, style sheets and browser compatibility
"Good understanding and ability to use Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks and Freehand.
"Strong understanding of asp.net
