We seek a competent individual to assist a small team managing flood risk strategy within the East Riding of Yorkshire, a predominately rural authority which covers 933 square miles with a growing population of 324,000. Strengths include a great environment, a well-educated workforce and a top scoring council known for innovation and e-government.
You will support the team collating and reviewing information relevant to the management of flood related assets.
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work to strict deadlines. We would expect the individual to have good IT skills and an understanding of hydrological modelling/assessment flood risk and managing water-related infrastructure.
We value motivation, problem-solving skills, proven ability to deliver within time-scales and experience in data management.
