Summary
Our Client is recruiting Mechanical Design Engineer to join an expanding renewable energy manufacturing business. There are opportunities in the Engineering area in the design, development and application of small to medium sized wind & hydro turbine, and renewables packaged power systems for remote applications.
The place of work will be in a light industrial unit in Dorset, the location which is 30-minutes from Poole, and 15-minutes from Dorchester and Blandford.
Entry requirements
1.Degree qualified in an appropriate Engineering subject or equivalent experience
2.Demonstrated experience in the design and development of industrial machinery, rotating equipment and mechanisms.
3.Experience in CAD modelling and drawing.
4.Experience with basic stress, structural analysis or aerodynamics desirable.
5.Experience in project management of own tasks.
6.Able to deal with ambiguity and focus on results.
7.Enthusiastic and interested in the renewables market.
8.Mature outlook and ability to work in the demanding environment of a small company.
9.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
Work responsibilities
Working within the Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing wind, hydro and other renewable products and supporting the existing legacy fleet.
