
P6 Planner to £45,000 Workington, Cumbria

Permanent position for someone experienced with Oracle's Primavera P6 Professional Project Management tool who is commercially aware and with proven management experience coming from a Construction or Production Engineering environment. Join an Engineering Consultancy that is part of a large organisation that employs over 80,000 people across four continents.
To be successful it will be vital that you have an understanding of planning and scheduling systems and software including Primavera P6 as well as Project or Change Management skills. Experience in the management of supply chain IT systems, Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing techniques and Critical Chain Project Management would be advantageous.
The purpose of the role is to lead the business in the planning, control & forecasting of the contracts and projects that are delivered by the Process Engineering function that typically has around 100 contracts live at any time for the company that are involved in heavy fabrication, machining & assembly plant based in Workington, providing bespoke mechanical & electrical engineering design, production & build solutions for company and external customers worldwide.
The Senior Planner is to ensure that the use of this tool is expanded to cover the whole business in a consistent manner and to ensure that the processes used to plan works are developed and consistent across the business.
