North Midlands based Consultancy require a Technical Director - Pavement Engineering to join their organisation.
Under the general direction of the Engineering Operations Director, you'll provide technical leadership, direction and advice to ensure that project outcomes meet the required technical standards for the industry and Infrastructure Services within the field of Pavement Engineering. This will involve being directly responsible for ensuring excellent technical standards are employed throughout project work in Pavement Engineering and also taking the lead to ensure that such standards are employed across the Company. In addition you will take the lead in developing effective collaborative relationships with colleagues across the group, with appropriate external organizations and with new and existing clients.
Suitable candidates will be a chartered / incorporated member (or equivalent) of a relevant professional institution with a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and a post graduate qualification and/or research in Pavement Engineering. With a proven track record within pavement engineering and related technical disciplines you'll have a national profile in pavement engineering through membership of technical committees or other bodies and will be recognised as a technical expert by stakeholders. The ability to build relationships and interact effectively with stakeholders at a senior level is key and you should be accustomed to operating at senior levels within an organisation. With demonstrable experience of being able to check and approve designs for technical accuracy you'll also have the communication and leadership skills to develop your team.
Salary: To £60,000 + benefits
