Our global automotive OEM client located in Bedfordshire are currently seeking an Ergonomics Test Engineer to join them on a rolling 12 month contract basis.

Job Title: Ergonomics Test Engineer
Location: Bedfordshire
Length: 12 months rolling
Rate: £26ltd + 1.5 Overtime over 39 hours (£39p/hr)

Mission & Main Objectives:
To successfully deliver client vehicle projects to market, test and development of vehicle systems to client Engineering Standards.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Testing of Vehicle Interior systems, including Seats, Cockpit Module, Headlining and system plastic components.
Responsible for performing a variety of Tests to include but not limited to: - Ergonomics evaluations including Roominess, Vehicle layout, Operability. Environmental performance, Squeak & Rattle, Seat Comfort and High Quality Feeling.
Manage testing to achieve internal QCT (Quality, Cost and Timing) objectives.
Status reporting to Management.
Root cause analysis and Countermeasure investigation with design departments.

Additional Responsibilities:
The client operates a zero injury program and undertakes proactive health and safety activities annually to work toward eliminating industrial accidents, occupational illnesses, and traffic accidents.
Part of your role will be to ensure you understand and follow health and safety policy and procedure.

Background & Capability:
Have good communication skills
Have a current Full Driving Licence.
Be able to travel both within the UK and abroad for typically a few days although this could be longer on occasion.
Be competent with PC applications, MS office etc.
Self motivating and self managing. Pro-active and positive. Energetic personality and flexible regarding working practice and hours.

Degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Ergonomic discipline.
Proven capability within a Test environment, ideally exposure within the Automotive Industry.
