This established and successful civil contractor has a unique position on a major irrigation project valued at NZ$80 million. The scheme will irrigate over 16,000 ha of farmland and the site will be around 300 ha in size. The water supply will be controlled by a state-of-the-art automated, wireless technology. This project will have a real positive impact on the local community for generations to come.
Critical to the success of this project is the appointment of a Civil Engineer who will drive the design phase of the storage ponds, open channels and associated pipework, manage the consent process and oversee the construction.
This is an extremely exciting opportunity to be involved in what has to be on of the South’s largest water projects and have a unique design role working for the contractor leading all the work where you will have a major impact.
The ideal candidate will have related civil design skills from the irrigation / water storage sector. You will be proficient in CAD, experience in developing concepts and feasibilities, yet have the practical ability to work on site.
