Principal Geotechnical Engineers required for West Yorkshire office of Consulting Engineering Company.
They require an experienced geotechnical engineer to assist with the management of teams based the Northern region. They require excellent interpretative reporting and geotechnical design skills (e.g. shallow foundations, piles, retaining walls). Duties will include interpretative reporting, foundation design and slope stability assessments, design and management of ground investigations, preparation of bids and project costings. Responsibilities will also include training and support of more junior team members, project management and liaison with clients (both externally and internally from other sectors/offices). Projects include rail, highways and infrastructure with clients including developers, major contractors, major infrastructure suppliers, Network Rail and London Underground.
The desired candidate will have a degree in engineering geology, civil engineering or similar. Post graduate degree (MSc/MEng) in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, soil mechanics, foundation engineering etc. We require a minimum of 8-10 years relevant post-graduate experience. Professional membership of a relevant body (CEng / CGeol). PTS is an advantage.
