Job Purpose:
Quality Manager coordinating all parts of the Quality Management System (QMS) that operates across the contract and provide advice, guidance, to all owners of the procedures, processes that comprise the QMS.
Maintain the audit programme, monitor the nonconformities (NC's) and observations raised and ensure they are closed out in a timely manner.
Report upon overdue audits and closure of non-conformities and produce appropriate reports.
Undertake supplier audits.
Identify opportunities for continual improvement.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, implementation, coordinating and maintaining the quality management system.
Liaise with the Infrastructure & Quality Managers in coordinating development of management systems for the current DIO contracts and opportunities within the Next Generation Estates Contracts (NGEC).
To liaise with and assist DIO, client staffs and BD senior managers to ensure the management systems are coordinated with those of the Client.
Take a lead role in innovations development, continual improvement and lessons learnt from the current contract to promote the formulating of systems of working for DIO, the clients, NGEC.
Help make the QMS more consistent, efficient and effective.·
Work closely with the Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability department and liaise with core works and core services teams to ensure reliability of the management system policies.·
Conduct QMS audits of core works and core services deliverables and make recommendations to bring about continual improvement.·
Ensure staff and internal maintenance services department meet best practice guidelines.·
Engage the supply chain to promote the management systems and ensure government/ MOD requirements are met.

Skills required:As a minimum:·
Applicants must have suitable experience of quality management systems in facility management, property maintenance, construction and building services industry and will ideally have, or be working towards, corporate membership of a Chartered Institute.·
Experienced Auditor.·
Able to identify and nurture innovations, continual development and lessons learnt from auditing management systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good oral and written communication skills and able to produce clear, concise reports and to present reports to directors, senior management.
Capable of motivating colleagues from different offices, disciplines and organisations in collaborative working.
Familiar with internet systems and on-line editing.Additional skills / qualifications which would strengthen an application:
Experience of working with MOD or in a public sector environment.·
Experience as a Quality Manager or working in a QM department.
Good IT skills & familiar with basic Microsoft and other computer programs·
Experience in raising and implementing management systems through awareness and training.
