Site Engineer, Civils. 278 works; pavement and adoptable roads, traffic lights and associated street furniture. Contract role, setting out. CSCS certificate essential with SMSTS and NRSWA preferred. Enhancement of local area to provide improved visibility at road junctions. Contract role for 6-8 weeks.
Immediate requirement for a new project in Southwark awarded to this successful contractor. You will be based on the scheme involving both new and refurbishment elements. Roads, Paving, Drainage, Hard and Soft Landscaping or related schemes experience essential. Scheme is covered by 278 works rules and legislation.
The Project involves working in public areas. You will need to demonstrate previous experience in working for a Contractor and running the Engineering aspects of schemes on your own.
Daily Duties will include organising the setting out, informing the site workforce as to the priorities and managing the Site Team in conjunction with the Foreman and working with the Site Manager. Design & Build experience needed. Common sense and an understanding of BIW are also essential.
Experience and Qualifications. At least 5 years in an equivalent role, ideally with a Civil Engineering Degree; a good track record with current/previous employers; experience with Microsoft Project, Word and Excel. A good knowledge of Health & Safety is necessary. You must have a current CSCS card.
Remuneration. Initially the role will be on a Contract basis @ £17 ph. Applications will only be considered from those who are currently legally entitled to live and work in the UK.
