My market leading organisation are currently seeking a maintenance team leader for a permanent position in Bristol. As a team leader you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical and electrical maintenance on heavy plant machinery. In addition the ideal candidate will have a strong background as a mechanical fitter and it would also be beneficial if you have any experience working within the quarry environment.
Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be to :
Drive Completion of planned preventative maintenance activities and corrective works orders (Defect T-Cards) before adverse effect on performance
Support Maintenance Planning Supervisor to ensure effective maintenance planning
ensure work record completion
Delivery of continuous improvement actions - Improve maintenance - reduce task time
Drive up value added time of maintenance resource
Technical support & guidance of operatives to complete Autonomous Maintenance tasks
Ensure that all Safety related documentation (Safe Systems of Work - Risk Assessments/Permits to work etc) for all maintenance activities are in place
Prioritise and respond to plant breakdowns - utilising all available information and resource to perform corrective work.
Ensure any temporary fixes are followed up with a permanent solution.
Practical technical assistance & guidance to aid development of team skills and competencies
Undertake toolbox talks with Team.
