HSE Officer- Build/ Fit-Out
Job Purpose:
To provide advice & training to managers in Health & Safety best practice.Conduct Site audits.Implement Environmental Policy .To ensure all employees, sub-contractors, clients & members of the public are kept safe at all times. Candidates should be NEBOSH/ IOSH certified.
Main Tasks:
•Preparation , review and approval of Health & Safety Policies, procedures and guidance in keeping with best practice and make recommendations on their implementation and application. •Advise & ensure that site specific risk assessments & method statements areimplemented. •Plan & carry out audits and inspections of sites & all working areas. •Attend pre-contract meetings. •Issue written reports on the results of site safety inspections or safety audits. •Audit procedures & systems with subcontractors e.g.; Method statements, risk assessments and COSHH. •Continually monitor the competence of all contractors. •Ensure site inductions are carried out appropriately. •Provide professional advice & technical information where appropriate to Directors, Managers & employees. •Log such reports on to a computer database. •Liaison with external Health & Safety consultancy where necessary •Investigate and issue full reports on any accidents. •Implement and ensure compliance with Environmental Policy, carry out internal audits, including site waste management. •Ensure all documentation is collated and stored in line with Company policies. •Carry out any reasonable request of a similar nature as directed by management. •Place & monitor licence applications (scaffold, parking, gantries, etc). •Arrange PAT testing.
