Our client is one of the world's leading, award winning and recognised multi-disciplinary engineering consultancies, who have identified a need within their Energy team, part of a larger Infrastructure group comprising geotechnical, civil structural, civil engineering and rail engineers.
Based in Bristol but with regional responsibility the successful candidate will have design and project management / leadership experience, and will be required to promote the energy business, provide growth, direction and new project opportunities in the West, reporting to and supporting the group leader.
To be considered the successful candidate will hold a degree in a civil, electrical or science related subject, ideally chartered, the ability to develop strong relationships internally and with external clients.
Key criteria include;
*Bring complementary skills and experience to this team and the associated energy planning and consenting team.
*Proven track record in the energy sector from work with other consultants or clients in the target market and work with the Arup energy leader to open doors to new and wider business opportunities.
*The ability to understanding customers' needs and aspirations to see that exemplary work is produced.
*Identify objectives clearly, plan actions, allocate tasks and monitor progress, coordinating with and informing others as necessary, and with an ability to juggle many different conflicting demands and priorities.
*Experience of infrastructure design delivery or High Voltage (HV) power design is an advantage although not essential

*Renewable energy
*Grid connection and renewable energy integration,
*Wind power
*Sustainability and environmental policy and legislation, Biomass combustion systems
*Advanced combustion systems
*Advanced thermal conversion systems
*Combined heat and power systems
*Gas engine and steam turbine systems
*Biomass, biogas and waste utilisation
