Our client, a medium firm of construction consultants providing cost management, project management and CDM-C services to a range of clients now has a requirement for a CDM Co-ordinator to join their Oxford based office but to cover projects across Hampshire too. They are seeking someone with a background in construction i.e. quantity surveying, building surveying, project management etc. who holds a minimum qualification of HNC / HND and possibly also IOSH / NEBOSH Construction certificate qualifications in construction health and safety. The ideal candidate will have worked for another firm of construction consultants as a CDM-C. You should have a good working knowledge of the CDM 2007 regulations and legislation with an understanding of design hazards and risks and have ideally gained experience with a firm of construction consultants working on projects "client side". Projects are broad based across a number of construction sectors and could include education, healthcare and some commercial projects. You will need to have gained a number of years experience as a CDM-C and have good communication and client facing skills, be a good organiser.
