Design Manager - Utilities - London

An international Civil Engineering & Build Contractor with a strong workload in a variety of sectors including Infrastructure and Energy Markets.
The Role
As Design Manager you will provide design management solutions on major Utilities and infrastructure schemes in particular work on water and waste water treatment processing plants. You will act as the link between pre-construction and delivery team as well as any external sub-contractors and consultants.
You will interrogate the design to provide value engineering solution; chair and steer design team meetings, ensure regular reporting of the design as well as reviewing design for buildability before use.
Requirements
To be considered for this Design Manager post you must meet the following criteria:
-Previous experience in the role of a Design Manager / Co-ordinator with an employment history with a Main Contractor.
-Previous experience working within the Utility sector (Water, Electric or Gas).
-Experience upholding the following responsibilities listed above.
-Project experience specifically on live works (tender experience would be advantageous but not essential).
-Strong commercial awareness (managing budgets Etc).
-A relevant industry related degree or diploma.
-Excellent Written & Communication skills
Remuneration
The successful Design Manager will receive:
-Up to £50,000 Basic Salary (dependent on experience)
