An exciting opportunity has arisen with an architectural design company for a talented residential focused Structural Engineer.
A rapidly expanding Architectural Design company is in the process of opening their new offices in Middlesex and are now looking to recruit a dynamic and career focused Structural Engineer to become an integral part of the management team. Reporting directly to the Company Directors and with the support of a team of Architectural Technicians you will spearhead the process of bringing the Structural Engineering function in house. The successful candidate will need to have a solid track record within a structural engineering consultancy and have a natural flair for structural design. You will be focused on the residential design schemes and will be working on a large number of extension and loft conversion projects as the company continues to expand.
Responsibilities -Design structural schemes for a variety of residential projects. - To manage technical deliverables, quality and resources. - Implement best practice and procedures to enable continued growth and development. - Manage various projects and work closely with the rest of the design team to provide timely solutions.
Experience: - You will ideally be Chartered or approaching Chartership status. - You will ideally be degree (MEng) qualified and have a proven track record in the field. - 5 years minimum experience in structural schemes -Able to work independently but have the ability to lead as well as be part of a team. - You must be competent in the use of AutoCAD and other design software such as TEDS.
Personal Profile: - Ability to work well under pressure. - Able to meet deadlines. - Able to work on your own initiative, and be a team player. - Able to mentor and coordinate others.
