Project Manager for RC & Groundworks Contractor. A growing Contractor that was founded 15 years ago to provide high quality services to the construction industry currently has this site specific role in north London. The requirement for a Project Manager has arisen through them winning additional work with imminent starts.
Company Projects generally range from £400k on smaller jobs to £5-8m major contracts involving excavation, piling, drainage and re-instatement work with associated soft and hard landscaping for Schools, Leisure Centres, Medical Centres and Commercial developments, where there are often complicated groundworks, drainage, deep basements and split level floors, some multi-storey RC frames.
This Project ~ Specifically here there is about 18 months work with the packages so far totalling £7m on demolition, site clearance, drainage, temporary works, basement concrete works with podium slab and upper floors.
Your Role will involve taking control of all dealings with the Client, Design Team, Architect, Statutory Bodies and the Local Authority. You will be fully involved in Programming, Method statements, Design issues, Statutory Permits and Client meetings; this will allow the Construction Manager to focus on hitting the site production targets
Your Profile. Civil Engineering Degree, a good track record of working with a recognised main or sub-contractor in the Civils, RC or Groundworks arenas where you may have been a No.2 on a large project and be seeking a chance to progress or have already run projects and are seeking the chance to demonstrate untapped potential for a responsive employer.

As the business continues to grow and they are now able to offer clients a highly-skilled workforce in groundworks, civil engineering, construction, decommissioning, demolition, land remediation, drainage solutions and reinforced concrete frames. A medium sized contractor, the company turns over some £25 to £30m annually with repeat business forming a strategic core to the business, working on educational and commercial schemes.
Health & Safety compliance is of extremely high importance on all the sites and the Company monitors levels of health and safety and understands the importance of integrating and working closely with site teams to ensure a safe working environment for everyone concerned. All employees hold relevant certificates for plant and machinery and are CPCS/CITB/CSCS cardholders and the Company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements as dictated by the HSE. You will be expected to promote a strong Health & Safety culture.
The Negotiable Salary Package is £55 to £65k plus, with a car /allowance and substantial benefits, but this will only be offered to applicants who can clearly show that they have the requisite skills. Fully IT conversant, you will have good oral and written communication skills. A full and valid driving license will be needed.
