Project Controls Manager - Chester - £38,000
A multidisciplinary leading consultancy are looking to recruit project control manager to head up a team in Chester. The candidate will be responsible for development and administration of projects. The candidate will identify and highlight issues to project managers and teams. The role will include conducting critical path analysis to ensure accurate progression and change management is efficient. The role requires someone who is customer focused, good at relationship development, driven and can deliver results.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Planning and project controls functions for small - medium waste water projects
- Develop tender programmes with the bid team which will include: activity detail and logic which comply with projects which are currently running.
- Adding details to tenders,managing the cost information and adhering to all Requirement for the NEC.
- Update all programmes and resource data through analysis and regular reporting (Clause 32 programmes).
- Complete all project controls to time scales and distribute the project report to team members and managers in an understandable way.
- Liaise with subcontractors, partners and planners with all control issues including the review of all subcontractor programmes and assist int the project management of time extension if needed.
- Work with all senior management to improve project execution and general impact assessment.
- Support Planning and Project Controls management in the implementation of strategic initiatives and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in Primavera 6, Microsoft Planner7. logic analysis and EV concepts methods. the candidate will have excellent communication skills written and verbal. The candidate will be expected to have a background within the Water or Construction industry and working knowledge of project programme development. The candidate has to hold a driving licence.
