£30,000 to £45,000 + package

Our client is a major structural steelwork contractor, which undertakes the design, detailed drawing, manufacture and construction of steel structures.

They are looking to recruit a structural engineer to join their design department in their busy South Wales office.

The successful candidate will have 5 or more years experience in structural steelwork design for buildings and similar structures. This will include the design of steel frameworks, members and their connections. Experience of bridge design would be an advantage but not essential.

The role will be demanding and will entail working closely with draughtspersons, contracts managers and other staff engaged in manufacturing/fabrication and construction. Good communications and interpersonal skills will be required together with a willingness to take responsibility and ability to work under pressure. However, this is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to develop a successful career in structural design.
