Signalling Design Manager
My client is a Multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a Nation wide presence. Within its Rail Division, they have an exciting and challenging portfolio of projects and Clients. The Projects Business undertakes a wide variety of signalling renewal and other network enhancement projects on behalf of our primary Client, Network Rail. They are currently looking for Signalling Design Managers to be based in their offices in Birmingham, Crewe, Croydon, Glasgow, Swindon and York.

Responsibilities
Manage a team engaged in the production of designs, specifications, reports and working drawings to meet contract requirements within agreed timescales and performance parameters.
-Responsible for the design delivery of a project to client expectations.
-Develop and mentor staff.
-Implement the requirements of the Rail Business Management System, Core Assurance
-Case and Railway Safety Case
-Assist in determination of engineering policy and deal with engineering and contractual matters with professional integrity at all times.

Requirements
-Able to carry out Safety Critical Work.
-UK Signalling Principle Design Engineer skills including knowledge of standards, procedures, CAD.
-Extensive experience of UK signalling design.
-Experience of bidding, planning and resource management.
-Line management experience.
-Experience or capability of undertaking RDE duties.
-Experience of signalling design checking.
-Fit and able to work trackside.
-IRSE Design Licence: 1.1.145 Design Manager.
-IRSE workplace assessor or working towards assessor qualifications.
-Degree/HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar.
