Senior Civil Engineer (Water)

My client is currently looking for a Civil Design Engineer for an initial period of 6 months. The role will involve developing a programme of site investigations and condition assessment methodology of a water company`s strategic water distribution infrastructure assets. Requirements: Extensive work experience within the clean and wastewater environment. Design experience of clean and wastewater infrastructure. Design of water pipeline experience, ideally knowledge of large diameter water main systems and condition assessment techniques. Design experience in hydraulic systems. Experience of managing a design team. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, the role will require extensive stakeholder consultation and management. Capable of building and maintaining strong business relationships with internal line managers and external clients. Experience in writing feasibility and design reports. Ability to be flexible and to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary. Positive outlook and approachable manner. Well motivated, able to work as part of a team or in isolation when required. Must be able to work to technical, programme and budget requirements. Prepared to travel as and when required. Applicants must be numerate, literate and familiar with IT and software appropriate to the tasks undertaken. UK water company experience.
