Principal Geochemist - Christchurch

Our client is a leading engineering and environmental consultant with an enviable reputation in delivering some of New Zealand's most exciting and innovative infrastructure projects as well as the full range multidisciplinary services within the engineering sector. Opportunities to join their environmental team are not only rare in itself but opportunities to do so at Principal level even more so.

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Geochemist to join their Christchurch mining and contaminated land team and get actively involved in their expansion plans for this division. On a day to day basic your role will include utilising your technical and project management skills on a wide variety of projects including; geochemical characterisation studies, groundwater and surface water sampling and related environmental investigations and studies.

In order to be considered for this role it is envisaged that you will be educated to post graduate level in either Geochemistry, Hydrogeology or Geosciences and be able to demonstrate a minimum of 15 years experience gained within a Consulting environment. Furthermore technical specialism within mining geochemistry would be highly sought after.
