We are seeking an assistant geotechnical engineer for an award winning design and build consultancy in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to progress a career working with geotechnical and civil design engineers on a range of building and infrastructure projects.
Applicants must have a strong Civil Engineering academic background, ideally with a further qualification in Geotechnical Engineering. In addition to this, candidates must demonstrate technical experience designing shallow foundations, slopes, retaining walls and assessing earthworks.
Typical activities will include; ground investigation planning, detailed geotechnical design, report writing, client liaison, tendering and estimating.
