My client is an award winning specialist Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental consultancy. They have been very successful in the current market and are looking to expand their team to increase project capacity. They are now looking for a senior Engineering expert to join their expanding office and help mentor junior staff and become an important part of the technical team. This is a great opportunity for a Senior to take the next step in their career up to Principal level
Responsibilities:
The day to day role of a Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer includes:
* Technical geotechnical design including foundations, retaining structures, embankments and slopes
* Site design/analysis and interpretations of ground investigations on a range of projects.
* System design calculations and preparation and review of drawings.
* Project management and team administration duties
* Working directly with clients and other professionals.
Requirements:
To be considered for the role of Senior Geotechnical Engineer you must have the following:
* BEng in Civil Engineering or a BSc in Geological Sciences supplemented by an MSc in Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering
* Professionally Chartered or near Chartership.
* Extensive experience in geotechnical design and experience across a range of medium to large scale projects
* Experience of planning, managing, supervising and interpreting ground investigations
* Working knowledge of industry standard software for geotechnical design
* Full UK Driving Licence
