Our client is the UK's leading generator and supplier of low carbon energy. They are part of a core group of companies and are one of the largest energy companies in Europe with key operations in France, the UK Germany and Italy.

They require a Project Manager / Delivery manager to join their management Team at Hinkley Point - the UK's first Nuclear plant for over 20 years

Principal Accountabilities:
Direct responsibility for contract management with values in the region of £100m to £250m, including 3 to 5 Direct Reports.
Full delivery programme liability for contractors and external stakeholders within their area of responsibility.
Delegated authority consistent with the management of the major contracts associated with the assigned programme of work.
Manage the work scope to be delivered within the programme of work and the interfaces to other relevant programmes.
Lead a team, capable of delivering the work scope, with clear roles and responsibilities and delivery accountabilities.
Maintain a programme execution plan (PEP), setting out how the programme of work will be managed, organised and executed.
Drive the delivery of the programme activities to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, to budget, meeting business & technical requirements. Monitor and manage the progress of the programme - track progress against milestones, deadlines, budget and provide key stakeholders with reports on these matters
Anticipate, manage and resolve issues within the programme. Identify risks and facilitate the resolution of all issues raised, develop and update the programme budget, and escalate any issues to the Project Controls Director. Monitor and adjust the execution plan where issues arise to ensure the overall programme schedule is met.
Interface with other programmes to ensure a high-level view of how the total project is progressing and to identify and adopt the use of best practice.
Ensure that programme contractual requirements are fulfilled & maintain effective working relationships with all project team members.

Skills and Qualifications:
Track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector.
Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation.
Background of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects in a regulated environment.
Detailed understanding of PWR design and experience in PWR operations.
Working knowledge of French language an advantage.
Degree and chartered status in an engineering, or construction
