My client who is a national main contractor are looking to recruit a Deputy Project Manager / Agent to be based on projects in Central London. The successful candidate will be required to plan and manage station works, procurement, programme, site works, and build a works team.
Main Responsibilities include the following :
*Management of section contractors on the main project works
*To take specific accountability for allocated work areas or contractors on the project
*Managing the impact of the works on adjacent neighbours, public interfaces and LU Operations
*Interface with all necessary third parties including LU Operations, Consultants and LU Project Representatives
*Assist with the on-the-job training and development of supervisors and engineers
*Produce short term/ daily programme and schedules for managing the works
*Control and monitor progress of the works by means of meetings, reviews and record keeping, involving subcontractors as necessary
*Implement on site quality control
*Undertake snagging regimes and liaison with client regarding witnessing/ testing / inspections
*To be aware of and maintain an understanding of the contract documents, appropriate codes of practice, standards and specifications
*To correctly interpret information from drawings and specifications and transfer this to the site operatives and subcontractors.
Essential Criteria for this role include:
*Previous fit out/ building works experience
*Previous experience of working in the London Underground
*IT Literate
*Experience working on large multi discipline projects
*Must be proficient in the following:
- Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation knowledge
- CDM & risk assessments
- Quality Management
- Building Methods/Buildability
- Handover of the works
- Cost Control
- Risk Management
Desirable Criteria:
*HNC/HND/City &Guilds
*Construction Related Degree
*Construction related chartership (or actively working towards)
* "A-Site" document management experience
