An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing recycling business is available to the right person. The Client is expanding their services and are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual.
Reporting to the Managing Director your responsibilities will include:
Full responsibility for ±15 HGV lorries, running routes making 100+ collections per day on a ‘multi drop’ basis, as well as artic and hook lorry services
Managing a waste collection process & ensuring all KPI's are adhered to and service levels are achieved
Active management of our on-line database with driver handhelds
To ensure strict compliance with all aspects of Operator's Licensing, including driver hours, Working Time Directive and vehicle maintenance
Oversee the effective running our operational depot(s)
Staffing for transport and operations – 24/7 coverage
Manage and monitor the departmental budget
Work with the senior team to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and manage change where necessary.
Who we're looking for
To be considered for this role you will ideally have managed an operation of a similar nature. You will be CPC qualified, have experience in the waste management sector, and ideally hold a C license. This is a very demanding post and an excellent knowledge of London service delivery issues is essential.
