A large, multi-disciplinary, UK-based company have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to join their established, qualified team in the heart of England. Current projects include working with Natural England on several projects involving assessing protected areas with relation to prospective planning developments, to surveying roosting bats, great crested newts and badgers, to designing sites to ensure maximum biodiversity.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience in ecological consultancy along with a good knowledge of natural history, EIA, planning and legislation. Experience of report writing and surveying protected species is crucial, with habitat surveying skills and botanical ID skills being advantageous. You will have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
The role will provide the successful candidate with a fantastic chance to develop their career whilst undertaking challenging project work within a positive, professional team.
