Due to unexpected market growth one of Scotland’s most prestigious housebuilders is seeking a Cost Manager (from a Quantity Surveying or Buying background ) to be based in its Glasgow offices and undertake a 5 month fixed term contract role.
Working within the Procurement team this varied role will involve dealing with contract administration, procurement of sub contractors, materials and plant as well as undertaking final accounts, financially managing sub contractors and performing valuations on a number of construction sites. It also involves constant monitoring of the supply chain, ensuring value as well as liaising with the onsite teams and technical departments.
Candidates must be experienced Construction professionals, coming from a Buying or Q.S. background but must have experience of both procurement and undertaking final accounts/valuations. They must have multiple years experience and as this is a fixed term contract be able to hit the ground running with minimal training.
Of offer is a 5 month contract and the opportunity to work with one of the highest regarded builders in Scotland, along with receiving a highly competitive salary. (up to £36,000 pro rata dependent upon experience and qualifications)
