As the civil reconstruction ofChristchurchstarts to take shape so the need becomes more apparent for those with a range of civil construction experience. Areas with significant upcoming workloads include earthworks, water & drainage, civil structures and highways construction and repair.
Outside of the 5 main contractors are a number of subcontractors and these guys are one of the best. Focusing on earthworks and drainage they are taking on a significant amount of work and need key staff to join them and to make the work successful. Having recently won a land remediation project they're in need of a young engineer with experience in surveying and quality control. Of course like any site engineer role there with be other duties associated with the position but GPS and QC experience are paramount.
The project is intended to last 12 months so the employer will consider either a permanent or 1 year contract depending on experience and preference. The project is due to start within the next month and so candidates available to start sooner than later are preferred. The successful candidate will be offered a salary in line with their experience. Experience is everything so my client will happily consider overseas candidates due to arrive inNew Zealandwithin the next month as well as local candidates.
