Our client is the largest engineering consultant in New Zealand which allows them to secure involvement across a wide range of project types and scale. They have built a reputation for leading the way with groundbreaking solutions and many of New Zealand's iconic projects carry their mark. Due to the recent events pertaining to the Christchurch earthquakes this rare and unique opportunity to join their growing team in Christchurch should be explored.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to assist with the rebuild of Christchurch City putting your skills to good use while at the same time offering you the chance to progress your career and get involved with a wide range of projects of significance. In order to be considered for this role you will be a qualified Structural Engineer with at least 5 years experience gained within a consulting environment, and have obtained Chartered status.
Aside from your excellent technical skills in respect of practical seismic design and extensive experience in the design of building structures, you will need to display exceptional communication skills, have previous project management experience, be client focused, and willing and able to lend a hand in support of more junior members of the team as and where required.
This role will see you get heavily involved with the design of new schools, courthouses, police stations, and hospitals on the one hand and assessment and strengthening of existing buildings projects on the other hand.
