The Capita Symonds Structural Team based at Colwyn Bay is headed up by an Associate Director and is split into two disciplines: Civil Structures and Building Structures. The Structures Team is part of a wider business headed up by a Cost Centre Manager, with complementary disciplines including Environment, Planning and Architecture. The following sectors illustrate a range of work the Civil Structures Team are involved in:

Due to growth within this area, we are looking to recruit an ambitious Civil Structural Engineer to the position of Principal Engineer supporting the Associate Director in leading and developing our Engineering business in North Wales. Your role will be to provide competent and enthusiastic support to Capita Symonds' Civil Structural team in managing the successful delivery of projects. This will require you to:-
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management including financial reporting
* Team supervision
* Design and design coordination
* Preparation of reports, contract documents, etc
* Coordination of sub-contractors
* Assist in preparing tenders
As an experienced Civil Structural Engineer, it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate:
* Your status as a Chartered Engineer
* Significant experience performing a similar role
* High standard of technical competence
* Ability to win work and prepare high quality bids
* Ability to manage financial information and reports to Associate Director
* Willing to develop skills and experience in all fields
* Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
* Be able to work under own initiative or as part of a team
* Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and clients
* High standard of communication
* Good people skills
Experience in some of the following fields is an advantage:
* Marine
* Large RC & Steel Structures
* Bridges
* Industrial
* Other large Infrastructure projects
You will have great communication skills both oral and written and have the ability to work in a busy environment as a member of a team.
