Further information

The civil aspect of theChristchurchrebuild has made a slow start but is at last finally moving. Although not yet at the required capacity it is clear that over the next few months the level of civil work in the city will increase significantly.

One of the major contractors inNew Zealandis playing a big part in the rebuild ofChristchurchand is gearing up for a significant influx of work at the end of 2012 and the start of 2013. Much of the work will initially focus on the rebuilding of the new deep drainage system inChristchurchincluding 100's of kilometres of clean and waste water piping and the construction of over 400 small pump stations. In time the focus will change to include wider aspects of civil construction including roads, earthworks, structures and foundation work and so the opportunities for developing experience and career are enormous.

One of the most significant requirements will be for good site and project engineers with a range of experience. Length of experience can range from 3 years upwards as there will be a clear need for younger engineers and those with a few more years under their belts. As a company they seeChristchurchas a long term commitment, not just for the rebuild, so there will be significant opportunities to develop your career in a number of directions if you choose.

Those who secure a position will receive an excellent salary as part of a bigger package and will be joining an already successful company set to go further in the future. If you think this is an opportunity for you then send me a detailed and up to date copy of your CV and I will be back in touch shortly.
