Although there have been further after-shocks in Christchurch the work goes on in the civil sector and is only getting busier! Civil contractors are looking at current and upcoming workloads and looking to hire newstaff to join the team.
Supervisors/Foremen with civil experience are in demand already and once the major projects start to come online this will only increase. Much of the current patched up work will have to be completely rebuilt with significant focus in the water, road and structures being most prominent.
Supervisors/Foremen with experience in these areas, or a wider exposure to civil work, will be offered challenging and exciting roles in the reconstruction of the city. Projects will range value from $100k upwards so experience of small or large projects will be welcome.
There will be opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable experience whilst at the same time continuing the development of your career and ultimately grow within your sector. You will be part of a team including engineers and trade specialists and you will work closely with Site of Project Managers on a regular basis depending on the size of the project.
