Operating across five geographical regions and four market sectors: transport, utilities, property and environment my client have designed some of the world`s most instantly recognisable landmarks including London`s Tower Bridge, Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Taiwan High-Speed Railway and Burj Khalifa - the world`s tallest building.

They are currently seeking a principal civil engineer to join their team in Birmingham in the delivery of efficient technical solutions. A relevant engineering degree and Chartership is required as well as Membership of an appropriate professional institution.

Main Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate work within multi-disciplinary teams
- Support design management of projects and bids
- Develop innovative technical solutions
- Undertake Technical Reviews of relevant projects
- Act as mentor to less experienced team members and promote learning throughout the technical delivery team
- Act as a leader in the promotion of, and compliance with, quality, safety and environmental systems
- Play a key role in the development, promotion and implementation of company technical strategies
- Interface with clients on project technical, commercial and progress matters
- Line management responsibility for assigned staff
- Ensure capture of key project and technical knowledge
- Line management responsibility for assigned staff
- Mentoring of junior engineers and graduates
