The Position:

Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager to be based in Elgin for infrastructure, support services and construction group.

 
The Profile:


The main purpose of this role will be to ensure that the construction works on all projects and the operations within Head and Site offices are conducted in adherence with current legislation. This individual will also be responsible for implementing 'Best Practice' on all projects and ensuring Group SH&E procedures are complied with at Regional Level.


The Role:


Conducting a minimum of a Weekly Inspection on all construction sites and offices
Issuing a Safety Report following inspection and forward a copy to the designated recipients within 24 hours
Keeping up to date with Health & Safety legislation and advising management and staff as deemed appropriate
Chairing / attend she meetings in region or sites as agreed with
Attending quarterly senior managers' safety meetings
Maintaining all safety related records
Liaising with appropriate Enforcing Authorities
Assisting to identify SHE related courses deemed necessary from Quarterly Management Meetings (in conjunction with the Regional Director and Group HR Department)
Maintaining inspection records of company owned Plant and Equipment
Liaising with other SHE Managers within the Group


The Candidate:


This role requires an individual who has extensive experience and knowledge of the HSEQ challenges faced by multiple-site management, and an in-depth knowledge of risks within the full construction cycle is essential.
It is necessary that all applicants should hold a NEBOSH Diploma in SH&E (or equivalent) and must have significant exposure within the Construction Industry. A related degree in this field would also be an advantage.
We require an individual with good IT skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes. Knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 is essential.
