Activity in Christchurch is starting to lift and the rebuild is slowly starting its feet. Although not at full speed yet many companies are planning ahead and tailoring their business to the upcoming workload and demands. One such client of mine is making significant investment in Christchurch and the surrounding area to ensure that they capitalise on the work ahead but also establish themselves in the region for years to come.
Materials and building supplies are going to be in big demand once things get underway and pre-cast and pre stressed concrete is one of them. As such this major civil operator is looking to develop their pre-cast manufacturing capabilities as part of their larger civil operation. They already run a very successful pre cast production facility on the North Island and so are looking to replicate that success close to the local demand.
The plan is to find a number of Pre-cast specialists to join the company from October onwards and to be directly involved in the pre-cast operation. Already there is a significant pipeline of work ahead and so it is expected that those successful candidates are able to hit the ground running. As this is a specialised area of the industry the successful candidates must have specific pre-cast experience. Ideally you will already hold the position of engineer, foreman or supervisor within the pre-cast industry and have a minimum of 3 years' experience.
The successful applicants will be offered and excellent salary as part of a larger package in line with the nature of the position and the experience they bring to the role. It's important to keep in mind that this is not just a job but the opportunity to continue the development of your career in a challenging and exciting environment. If this role appeals then you are encouraged to send a detailed and current CV highlighting your skills and suitability for this role to Phil Ponder by clicking on the apply caption below.
