The Christchurch rebuild is starting to get underway and with the release of the Christchurch City blueprint developers now know what they can and can't do in the city.
Much of the city centre will need to be rebuilt once the demolition process is complete with an emphasis on commercial, apartment, retail and government projects. Both civil and construction contractors are taking into account potential upcoming work and looking to secure contracts to be started later this year. Construction Project Managers with experience in these areas, or a wider exposure to construction work, will be offered challenging and exciting roles in the reconstruction of the city.
At present New Zealand already has a significant number of construction professionals and currently our clients have the personnel to deal with their existing workload. Following the release of the City Blueprint work will really start to pick up and our clients will start looking to hire from abroad.

Our clients will be looking for Project Managers with 10+ years of construction experience will be in big demand once the major projects start to come online. Project Managers with experience in these areas, or a wider exposure to construction work, will be offered challenging and exciting roles in the reconstruction of the city. Projects will range value from $10million upwards so experience of small or large projects will be welcome.
There will be opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable experience whilst at the same time continuing the development of your career and ultimately grow within your sector. You will have a team of engineers and supervisors reporting to you and you will liaise closely with senior managers and other stake holders such as consulting engineers and council officials.
Those successful will be offered a salary and package in line with the local market regardless of the type of contract secured.
