The devastating earthquakes back in February 2010 had a major impact on the city of Christchurch and New Zealand as a whole. Now its 2012 and the rebuild is slowly finding its feet and this major contractor is getting things moving in commercial construction.
Having already increased the size of their team in Christchurch they are now looking for additional professionals to join the team in the immediate future.
As well as a solid track record with a commercial contractor the ability to work on a variety of different types of projects at any one time is a must. Other desirable attributes include;
- A relevant degree or recognised tertiary qualification
- Commercial contractor experience including site based work
- Strong project experience of projects worth £10m+
- A variety of construction experience including new build, interiors etc
- A great team ethic and a good sense of humour
My client cannot emphasise enough that this work will be challenging both due to volume and the ongoing issues of living in a damaged city. Although a tough environment, those with the right attitude will enhance their careers enormously and will gain a massive amount of emotional reward for their efforts. Successful applicants will receive a salary reflective of their experience as part of an overall package.
